My Brother Kirk

Isaiah 40:30-31 (New International Version)
      30 Even youths grow tired and weary,
           and young men stumble and fall;
      31 but those who hope in the LORD
           will renew their strength.
           They will soar on wings like eagles;
           they will run and not grow weary,
           they will walk and not be faint.

This was the scripture I prayed over my brother after he got sick. He was quite an athlete even running a marathon just before he was diagnosed. He became so weak and frail to the point where it was not possible to do any kind of athletic exercise that was always such a big part of his life. He was such a good big brother. He was always there in the important times of my life. He always inspired me to work hard for what I wanted because he worked so hard. He always knew that right thing to say or not say in times of heartache. He was never pretentious but genuine and real. He taught me so much about how to live and how to die. Words cannot contain the love I have(we all have) for him and yet God loves him so much more. Now he can run and not grow weary and walk and not be faint because he is with Jesus sharing in His glory.
